As a child I can vividly remember the smell, the sounds, & the heat coming off of my grandmothers stove when she would fry chicken (drumsticks) on Sunday afternoons. I remember thinking “What a feast!”  the table would be overflowing with macaroni and cheese, buttered biscuits or fried cornbread (depending on her mood), sliced tomatoes, mashed potatoes, buttered corn,…
